United Way of St. Charles 5K Bridge Run/Walk

8:30 am – Start of 5K Run/Walk divisions

5K Start: East Bank Bridge Park, 13244 River Road, Destrehan
Finish: West Bank Bridge Park, 13825 River Road, Luling
ENTRY FEES:
Ages 18-64 Open Division: $25.00 by February 28th, $30.00 by March 31st, $35.00 day of race
Ages 17-under ( Youth Division ) or 65-over ( Senior Division: $15.00 by Feb 28th, $20.00 by March 31st, $25.00 day of race
*NOTE: ON-LINE REGISTRATION CLOSES at 8:00 pm Monday, March 27th
Registration in person after On-Line closes will be available during pre-race day packet pickup event and on the day of race at the race site.

The 5K course offers a panoramic view from atop the Hale Boggs Mississippi River Bridge. The United Way Bridge Run is the largest road race across the Mississippi River in the nation.
*Should the weather or other safety concerns warrant, an alternate ground level course on the west bank will be used. In event of extreme circumstances, the race may be cancelled or postponed and the “no refund” policy will be applied.
PARKING is available at the following locations:
West Bank: West Bank Bridge Park, St. Charles Parish School Board, and all the schools located on Judge Edward Dufrense Parking in Luling.
East Bank: Harry Hurst Middle School and St. Charles Borromeo School in Destrehan.
Free bus transportation provided back to the East Bank after the race.
Participants parking at or near the East Bank Bridge Park must have their race number with them.
PARKING ON THE LEVEE IS PROHIBITED
TRANSPORTATION: FREE
Pre-race 6:30AM-7:45AM (please arrive on time), departing from West Bank Bridge Park to start at East Bank Bridge Park
** Race will begin at 8:30a.m.
Post race buses depart from 9:45AM-noon, back to East Bank Bridge Park
*Participants must have race number to ride bus*
Packet Pickup: ( Race Number bib with timing chip affixed to reverse side, T-Shirt )
Pre Race Day: Friday, March 31st (5 pm – 7 pm) at the West Bank Bridge Park
or Day of race Saturday, April 1st (opening at 6:30 am) at the West Bank Bridge Park
Registration in person is available during packet pickup event.
*Please arrive early in order to process and allow time for bus transportation.
There is NO packet pickup or registration at the Start line side – East Bank Bridge Park
TEAM CHALLENGE:
The company with the most pre-registrants ( by March 27th) will be awarded the “Team Challenge” Trophy. Please denote your company name on registration form & when registering online.
T-SHIRTS:
Commemorative t-shirts will be given out at the pre-race packet pickup event and on the day of race at the West Bank Bridge Park. Please keep race number/t-shirt tab until claiming t-shirt.
AWARDS:
Custom United Way of St. Charles 5K Bridge Run/Walk medallions presented to all official finishers.

1st Masters Male and Female (age 40-over)
1st Grand Masters Male and Female (age 50-over)
1st Senior Male and Female (age 60-over)
1st Youth Male and Female (age 17-under)
Scoring: IMPORTANT
This event is Chip Timed. Your timing chip is affixed to the back side of your race number. Please do not bend or fold bib number or chip.
Each race number bib has a name label affixed to denote who bib/chip is assigned to. If picking up bibs for others please make sure that correct bib is worn.
